Man’s body found in Liverpool woodland

The body of a man has been found in a popular Liverpool park.

Merseyside Police confirmed that the deceased person was discovered inside Woolton Woods and Camp Hill at around 7.45am on Wednesday morning.

Officers attended the scene and labelled the death ‘unexplained’ but do not believe the circumstances to be suspicious as they aim to trace a next of kin.

“At around 7.45am this morning (Wednesday 13 March), the body of a man was found in Woolton Woods and Camphill, off School Lane,” confirmed a force spokesperson.

“He was sadly pronounced deceased.

“The incident is being treated as unexplained while enquiries are carried out, but is not initially believed to be suspicious.

“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and trace his next of kin.”
