Liverpool have been hit with a seventh charge by UEFA following last week’s win over Borussia Dortmund.
European football’s governing body previously charged the Reds for their earlier Europa League fixture against Manchester United as well as their quarter-final first leg with Dortmund.
Now, the club are set to face disciplinary action following events during their remarkable comeback against Jurgen Klopp’s former club last Thursday.
A flare was thrown onto the Anfield turf in the final stages of the game is at the heart of UEFA’s latest charge.
It follows similar actions of Liverpool supporters setting off flares and smoke bombs at Old Trafford and Signal Iduna Park.
A statement issued by Liverpool before the quarter-final clash discouraged the use of pyrotechnics in the tie.
UEFA will rule on the club’s case at a disciplinary hearing on May 19 – the day after the Europa League final.
