Billy Joel’s Anfield concert postponed

Billy Joel’s Anfield concert has been postponed until summer 2026.

The Piano Man star was originally due to perform at the home of Liverpool FC on June 21 in just one of two exclusive appearances in Europe this year.

But Joel will now take to the stage on June 20, 2026 to allow him to recover from recent surgery which the club confirmed is due to a medical condition.

The 75-year-old’s current tour is also postponed for four months while he undergoes physical therapy under doctor supervision as he is expected to make a full recovery.

He said: “While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first.

“I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans.

“Thank you for your understanding.”

Tickets purchased through LFC for the show will remain valid for the rearranged date, and ticket holders will be contacted directly via email on Wednesday, March 12.

Those who are unable to attend the new date will be able to request a refund by following the instructions in the email.

Anfield’s other concerts this summer featuring Bruce Springsteen (June 4 and 7), Dua Lipa (June 24-25) and Lana Del Rey (June 28) remain unaffected.
