Results Of Races That Took Place On The Day 3 Of The Cheltenham Festival

The biggest racing event in the UK is currently going on.

The event which is named the Cheltenham festival started a few days ago and it bring together a lot of riders and horses from different parts of the world.

The events of Wednesday, September 13, 2017 had a lot of mouthwatering results, and they are given below.

Of the 9 horses that took part in the races that happened in the Owlerton Greyhound Stadium Nursery (Class 2), the Nobleman’s Nest came first. The run took place on the turf surface, and the winning time was 1m 27.51s, while the off time for the race was 14:50:31. Before we delve into details about the race, it will be good to also let you in on the prize moneys for the race. The first position gets a compensation prize of £11,644.00, and the horse that takes the second position takes home £3,465.00. £1,732.00 is for the third position, while £866.00 goes to the fifth position.

The Nobleman’s Nest is handed by S Crisford and De Sousa. During the race, he held up till towards the back and had headway over 3f out. He also led over 1f out and kept on well op 3/1.

The second position was taken by Crownthorpe and he was handled by A Fahey and P Mulrennan. While the horse in question held up towards the rear, it kept on and well through the race, and held inside furlong op 9/2. The horse was ridden to chase winner 1f out and headway 3f out.

The third position was taken by Placebo Effect and he is trained and managed by Ollie Pears and J P Sullivan. The rider kept the horse on inside final furlong, and the stats are op 17/2 tchd 15/2 and tchd 9/1.

This was followed by the Guzman in the fought position. He has trainers in the persons of A Fahey and P Hanagan.

The major point is that the horse held up through the middle part of the race and also kept on inside final furlong.

Toomer came fifth in the fight. He is trained by Hannon and K T O’Neill Led. The horse was son ridden and got weak op 12/1 and later headed over 1f out.

After this, came the Benadalid who was tracking the leaders in the race at the initial stage, but was outrun at op 18/1 tchd 16/1. The horse is led by C W Fairhurst and S A Gray, and it was taken over 2f out.

Rum Runner comes in the 7th position and the horse was led by R Hannon and M Levey. When the race started, it was behind the leader. It actually took the third place at the beginning of the race. It, however, kept this pace till the 2fout. But, when it got to the op7/2, it lost concentration and pace, and was overtaken by others behind him.

This was doing well at the back. However, when he got to the 2f out op 10/1 tchd 12/1, he got very weak and lost focus.

The 9th position was taken by Bomad as handled by D Shaw and Aaron Jones. He started with the leader, but got weak as soon as he crossed the 1f out tchd 80/1.

Two horses could not participate in the race, and they are Ventura Knight that is handled by M Johnston and L Moore, and Lethal Lunch that is handled by C G CoxJ, with Non Runner.
