Creamfields 2016 unveils ambitious ‘Steel Yard’ concept

Creamfields 2016 has unveiled a new 20,000 capacity Steel Yard superstructure in time for this year’s event.

Organisers of the world-renowned dance music festival, which is already on course for it’s eighth consecutive sell-out, have moved to make the already popular Daresbury-based music event even more of a memorable experience for revellers with the addition of the ambitious new arena.

Reaching 20m high, the Steel Yard is the first and largest of its kind in Europe. Described by promoters as “a living, breathing behemoth that redefines festival production as we know it,” the facility took over 12 months of careful planning.

Featuring newly developed technology that will provide festival goers with a range of sensory delights, Creamfields’ Steel Yard promises to allow spectators closer to the production than ever before.

Creamfields 2016 runs across the August Bank Holiday weekend- from 25th-28th of the month- and is once again set to play host to some of the biggest names in the industry, including Eric Prydz, Calvin Harris, Alesso and Martin Garrix.
