Everton will face either Manchester United or West Ham in the FA Cup semi-final.
Tonight’s draw has pitted Roberto Martinez’s side against the winner of the quarter-final replay between the Hammers and their Old Trafford counterparts after the original tie ended in a 1-1 draw yesterday.
The Blues, who overcame Chelsea in the last eight on Saturday, have previous form with United in the competition’s last four, having already beaten them twice en route to finals in their 1966 triumph and more recently in 2009.
More mixed fortunes lie in encounters with West Ham, with a victory as they went on to lift the trophy in 1933 but lost out in a replay after Frank Lampard Sr’s struck a late winning goal.
Should Everton emerge victorious at Wembley next month, they could be in line to stage a rematch of their 1984 showpiece with Watford, who drew Crystal Palace in the other semi-final.
Ties will take place on the weekend of April 23 and 24.
