Dan Friedkin is set to be installed as Everton’s new chairman.

The American has worked diligently since succeeding Farhad Moshiri at Goodison Park’s seat of power last December with several key boardroom appointments.

Friedkin was originally proposed to become the club’s new figurehead immediately after receiving ratification and was formally approved as a director on Monday.

His appointment, confirmed in a filing on Companies House, will now pave the way for the Blues to make their most senior hierarchical appointment in 21 years.

The chairman position had been occupied by the late Bill Kenwright from summer 2004, when he succeeded Sir Philip Carter, until his death in October 2023.

Also listed as a new director is Eric Williamson, who serves as president for the Friedkin Group’s flagship asset Gulf States Toyota dealership in the United States.

The 58-year-old also currently serves on the boards of Serie A giants AS Roma and French fourth-tier side Cannes, both of whom fall under TFG’s sporting portfolio.

He joins fellow Friedkin allies Marc Watts and Ana Dunkel on the board after the pair’s arrival following the end of Moshiri’s eight-year tenure just three months ago.

TFG have wasted little time in filling the leadership vacuum at Goodison with outgoing Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear taking up his new role this summer.
