Liverpool to offer Mane new bumper deal

Liverpool are planning to offer Sadio Mane a bumper new long-term contract.

Despite enduring a difficult campaign, Mane has still managed 12 goals in 28 games in all competitions to date, just one shy of his total from last season.

Three of those goals came in midweek when he bagged a hattrick in the Reds’ 5-0 demolition of Porto in the Champions League.

According to the Mirror, Liverpool are now keen to reward him for his performances and offer him a significant pay rise.

Mane has three years left to run on his current deal but Anfield chiefs are keen to sign him to new, improved terms that would reflect the increase that has been seen in the transfer market since his arrival.

It is expected the forward could at least double his current pay packet of around £80,000 per week, which is relatively low in the modern game.
