Manchester City midfielder Rodri admits he is struck by how Liverpool play ‘like animals’.
For a second consecutive season, the Reds are going toe-to-toe with the Premier League champions and currently hold an eight-pont lead in the title race.
Both sides face off at Anfield on November 10 but previously clashed in the Community Shield, where Liverpool lost to Pep Guardiola’s side on penalties.
Spain international Rodri featured in the Wembley outing and revealed his admiration for the qualities which City’s ongoing title rivals possess.
But the summer signing from Atletico Madrid also warned that Guardiola’s charges must be ready to seize on any pitfalls from Liverpool in the title race.
“I touched down [in England] to find one of the best teams I’ve seen in recent years,” he told the Guardian.
“Liverpool get seen as a counter-attacking team, but they dominate, score from set plays, the attacking mechanisms are well-worked, they have variety.
“Klopp’s teams are tough, physical. They go at you like animals. They’re like a knife: one comes at you, then another.
“But every team has their bad moment and we have to be there [if they do].”
