Salah clinches record-equalling PL award

Mohamed Salah has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for February.

The Liverpool forward scored six times in ten goal involvements last month as Arne Slot’s side remained unbeaten to open up a 15-point lead at the summit.

Salah opened the scoring in the club’s first league victory at Manchester City in a decade while also netting in a dramatic Merseyside derby with Everton.

He edged out Reds teammate Dominik Szoboszlai among five of his top-flight contemporaries to claim the accolade for a record-equalling seventh time.

Salah is now the joint-highest recipient of the award alongside Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane, having eclipsed Anfield legend Steven Gerrard’s haul of six.

All of the Egypt international’s Player of the Month gongs have been exclusively in the red shirt with his most recent coming in November 2024.
