Ryan Gravenberch’s agent admits a move to Real Madrid is ‘impossible’.

The Liverpool midfielder has been one of their standout performers this season as they close in on a second Premier League title in five years.

He is one of just three outfielders to start all 31 top-flight fixtures alongside Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah, a feat last set at Anfield in 1987/88.

Gravenberch’s ever-present displays have reportedly alerted him some of the Reds’ European rivals including the reigning European champions Madrid.

But the Dutchman’s representative Jose Fortes believes the possibility of his client moving to the Bernabeu are a non-starter due to a substantial price tag.

“He’s good enough for Real Madrid,” Fortes told MARCA.

“We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money.

“I know they’ve had their eye on him, but now it’s impossible.”

Gravenberch arrived on Merseyside in Jurgen Klopp’s final season after falling out of favour at Bayern Munich but was previously on Barcelona’s radar.

“When Ryan was 16, Barca called us. They wanted to sign him, but his father and I prioritised his development,” added Fortes.

“At Ajax, he was able to develop in a way that he possibly wouldn’t have at Barca.

“Ryan needed playing time to develop. I told [Julian] Nagelsmann that if he didn’t play, he would leave.

“We were clear that he had to go to Liverpool; he fit in perfectly with this team.”
