Liverpool will not lose Sadio Mane for a prolonged period despite suffering a shoulder injury in training.
The £30 million summer recruit was taken to hospital following his collision with a team mate at the club’s Melwood training ground earlier today.
But scans on Mane’s shoulder have revealed that the extent of the injury is only muscle damage rather than a dislocation, which would have sidelined him for several weeks.
He left a Merseyside hospital with his arm in a sling but was able to sign autographs for Liverpool supporters outside before driving off.
It means that Jurgen Klopp will be able to welcome the Senegal forward back to his squad but may be a doubt for Saturday’s trip to Burnley.
