Liverpool FC youngster set to depart on permanent deal

Liverpool youngster Jordan Williams is set to depart the club before this evening’s transfer deadline.

League Two pair Charlton Athletic and MK Dons are both interested in the 21-year-old, with the latter already having made an approach.

Williams was signed from Wrexham in 2009 but is out of contract in the summer and it appears his seven-year stay on Merseyside is coming to an end.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Williams will depart Anfield on a permanent basis before the 11 pm deadline.

He will leave the Reds having made just one senior appearance, which came against Middlesbrough in the League Cup in September 2014.

He also earned a call-up to the Wales squad but a serious knee injury in 2015 hampered his progress and he will now be hoping to get back on track away from Merseyside.
